Eyelid Surgery

The sagging skin and wrinkles around the eyes is often one of the first features to show signs of aging. The development of wrinkles and droopy eyelids can cause people to look tired even though they may not feel that way. Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty can reverse the signs of aging in the eyes and restore youthful appearance by removing excess skin and fatty tissue.

Lower Eyelids

To make the lower eyelids appear more youthful and rejuvenated, an incision underneath the lower eyelashes. Through this incision, excess skin and fat are removed to eliminate the puffy appearance that exists and to provide a taut, more attractive appearance. In some instances where only fat tissue needs to be removed, the incision can be placed inside the lower eyelid that will be virtually unnoticeable. After the desired look is achieved, the incisions are sutured.

Upper Eyelids

To restore a revitalized look to the upper eyelids, an incision in the natural fold of the upper eyelid, which allows excess skin and fat tissue to be removed. Once a better eyelid appearance is achieved, the incisions will be closed with fine sutures.
