You will be able to notice a difference immediately after one syringe injection. The effects typically last around six months. After that more injections are needed to keep the volume of your lips. Before the injections, a topical or local numbing agent may be applied to ease discomfort or nerve block injections can be given before the treatment to completely numb the lips. The amount of substance injected can be controlled, so you can discuss with Dr. Yuan over how much lip volume you want to add and shape you like. How Does The Lip Filler Work?

A lip filler is a gel-like substance injected beneath the skin to reduce creases and restore lost volume. They are also known as wrinkle-fillers, thanks to their ability to remove wrinkles. The most important aspect of the injection is how familiar the physician is with the filler that is being used. You can have a just as beautiful result with a less costly filler.

How Long Does A Lip Filler Last?

Most lip fillers will last somewhere from around 6 to 18 months. The first syringe of filler may last shorter due to spreading. Many factors influence their lifespan. To help retain the form of your lips, we recommend that you come back every six months. Some formulations can last longer, but they can only affect specific areas, and we cannot recommend them for everyone.

Other lip fillers use different materials such as fat or synthetics. These materials can last longer, but make sure to consult with us first.
