Brazilian Butt Lift Concept

BBL surgery is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures. It stands for Brazilian Butt Lift surgery. The shape and proportion of the buttocks are important factors in an attractive, well-proportioned body. Many people today, women and men alike, consider a woman with a rounder and fuller posterior to be more attractive. Whether you are self-conscious about the appearance of your buttocks or simply want to attain a more curvaceous figure, a BBL surgery or butt lift procedure can help to create the body you desire. Liposuction and buttock lift can make big changes in a woman’s appearance. That’s because it takes into consideration several basic cosmetic procedures and combines them into one. This procedure gives the patient a smaller waistline, removal of bra roll fat, and gives an S curve in the lower part of the back. For these reasons it is highly desired by many women.

With BBL surgery, a skilled cosmetic surgeon can use specialized fat transfer techniques to achieve a fuller, rounder buttock contour. What Is a BBL surgery?

BBL surgery is buttock enhancement with fat transfer. Lifting the butt typically refers to adding volume to the butt. Two common butt lift procedures are butt lift with fat transfer and butt lift with implants.  To increase buttock volume through fat transfer, the fat needs to be removed from other parts of the body. The fat is then filtered and then implanted into the buttock. This is what is known as a Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL surgery. The BBL surgery is usually the better option because it is more moldable and corrects the defects better on the butt and surrounding areas, meanwhile avoiding the potential risks linked to prosthesis implants. An experienced doctor would know if they could get enough fat from the person to make a difference in the size and shape of the butt. The fat cells are collected by the liposuction or lipo procedure to further enhance the butt lift result. Dr. Yuan offers a unique combination of technical skill with artistry to help you achieve the results, the body you’ve always wanted.

Is a BBL surgery safe?

Like any surgical procedure there is always a chance of post-op infection. We take precautions by giving his patients antibiotics before the procedure. There is a low chance of infection. Some fat that is transferred has a chance not to survive. The body will reabsorb a portion of the fat, and the appearance of the buttocks will stabilize over time. Severe complications can also occur if the fat graft is injected too deep. Before the surgery, Dr. Yuan will discuss these potential risks with you.

Who Is a Good Candidate for BBL Surgery?

There are certain conditions that need to be met in order to have a Brazilian Butt Lift. Often patients think that anyone can undergo this procedure and get a Brazilian Butt Lift, but because it involves adding volume to your buttocks it is first necessary to remove that fat from somewhere else. In order to have a successful Brazilian Butt Lift you will first need excess fat on other parts of your body. The surgeon will remove the excess fat and use that fat to volumize your buttocks. Another important factor that is crucial for the procedure is that you must be in good overall health. This will ensure that you have a smooth recovery after the procedure. Your actual weight must be stable and not in a state of flux. Gaining or losing weight will have an effect on the procedure. Dr. Yuan and his medical assistant will discuss these factors with you and assess your medical conditions before the procedure. Another concern is that if your expectations are in line with what is possible for both your body, your state of mind and what you may hope to gain in terms of newly found esteem and self-confidence. Lastly the ideal candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift is a non-smoker. This is a very important factor as being a smoker can slow down and impair the body’s ability to heal once the procedure has been performed. If you are a smoker Dr. Yuan will assess your willingness to cease smoking temporarily both before and after the procedure. This will, in turn, allow your body to heal at a normal pace and give your body the best chance of having a successful Brazilian butt lift with no complications. For persons who have very high BMI, moderate weight reduction might be needed before the procedure.

Are The Effects of a BBL Surgery Permanent?

The fat that is transferred to the butt, will be there for life and can grow. The fat that was removed from the other areas conversely are smaller in size and reduces the chance of growing in that area. An example would be the waist area that will not grow the same as the butt because there are less fat cells.

How Is BBL Surgery Done?

Dr. Yuan chooses to perform tumescent liposuction, which is a safer modified method as compared to traditional liposuction. During your Brazilian surgery, only the targeted liposuction areas are anesthetized, and you will be awake and responsive during the procedure. Some oral medications will be given to you to keep you under a twilight zone and tolerate the procedure and feel more comfortable. You will be asked to move in certain positions and contract certain muscles in order to isolate areas of fat that need to be removed. Although you may feel some discomfort, you can communicate with the surgeon or assistant to keep the extent of any discomfort under certain level by using different measurements. The length of the entire procedure depends on how much fat is transferred, and usually takes anywhere from 3 to 4 hours.

Recovery From BBL Surgery

All postoperative patients are advised to follow up with Dr. Yuan up to three months. Once the fat cells are transferred to the butt, it needs to be stable and should not be crushed or be moved about in a rapid fashion such as jogging. One of the important things the patient should try to avoid is not sit directly on the butt for 4 to 6 weeks. The reason is because the fat cells are establishing a new blood supply and exchange of oxygen and nutrients. This is important up to the first 4 weeks post-op care, but most important in the first two weeks. The patient should sleep on their belly to remove pressure on their butt if possible. This will ensure the survival of the fat cells and a great result for the patient. Also, the patient should also eat a healthy diet and take in a normal amount of calories in order for fat survival. You should not starve the fat cells. The only exercise you may do is a gentle walk which is good for the circulation.

Post liposuction we recommend that for the next 2 days a person eats fat rich food. Fat-rich food after liposuction, especially if it was performed under local tumescent anesthesia, helps the body dissipate and eliminate the anesthetic medications that cause nausea and vomiting and feeling of malaise and illness after the procedure. In addition, every patient must wear a post-surgical compression garments and keep both on for at least 5 days continuously, 24×7. This will exert positive pressure on the skin which helps it to contract and to stick to the under layers and thus prevent the accumulation of inflammatory body fluids under the skin and prevent swelling, edema, protracted healing and swelling.

How Much Does a BBL Surgery Cost?

Typical procedures cost from $5000 to $7500 depending on the areas of liposuction, each person’s body weight and height, and the type of anesthesia. Some patients want to have repeated procedures to further enhance the result. Please contact our office for seasonal discount.BB
